New Tax Lawyer Committee
The New Tax Lawyer Committee (NTLC) of the OSB Taxation Section provides professional development, leadership, and educational opportunities and resources to lawyers new to the tax law practice.
Membership in the NTLC is open to OSB Taxation Section members until their tenth year of practicing in the tax field or the fifth year of membership with the OSB Taxation Section, whichever is later.
Leadership Opportunities
The NTLC consists of officers, members at large, and volunteers. The NTLC officers serve calendar year terms and are nominated at the last NTLC meeting of each year. The officers are responsible for scheduling and facilitating quarterly meetings, hosting community events, law student outreach, and reporting to the OSB Taxation Section Executive Committee.
Quarterly Meetings
Held once per quarter, meetings are open to all new tax lawyers. The meetings are held via Zoom or another online meeting platform; meetings are occasionally held in person with lunch provided. New tax lawyers and law students who are interested in attending a meeting or volunteering with NTLC should contact a NTLC co-chair.
